The Guava Girl Glow-Up You Need This Summer

Published on by Lee2 Comments

Move over, Strawberry Girl—there is a new fruit-inspired aesthetic taking over summer, and her name is Guava Girl. This trend, inspired by the vibrant tropical fruit, celebrates bold colors and radiant, sun-kissed skin. While the Strawberry look tends to be soft and sweet, Guava Girl embraces a bolder appearance. The hot pink hue of guava has made its way into various products, from blushes to perfumes, making the rise of Guava Girl for summer feel inevitable. If you’re looking to add a playful, tropical vibe to your beauty routine, we have the perfect makeup look to help you channel your inner guava goddess.

Step 1: Prep

To start, skin prep is everything. Guava girl beauty begins with dewy, juicy skin that looks like you just stepped off the beach. Begin with a hydrating moisturizer infused with hyaluronic acid to plump and prime your complexion. Follow with a lightweight skin tint that evens tone without masking your natural glow, and dab a bit of concealer under the eyes for a fresh, brightened effect.

Step 2: Blush

Now for the main event – blush. Opt for a cream or liquid formula in a guava-inspired pink like Huda’s Soft Glow Liquid Blush in Intense Guava or Refy’s Cream Blush in Guava. To keep the look cohesive, tap a bit of the same blush onto your eyelids for a soft wash of warmth. Brush up your brows with a tinted gel or pomade for a naturally polished finish, and swipe on a coat of mascara to subtly open the eyes.

Step 3: Final Touches

Finish with a bold pink lip. Outline with a soft pink liner, then top with a high-shine gloss like Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm or Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm for that juicy guava fresca finish. For a final flourish, spritz yourself with a tropical-tinged fragrance like Ceremonia’s Guava Perfume and Hair Mist.

And just like that, you are officially a guava girl – radiant, vibrant, and ready for whatever summer throws your way.

The Latina Makeup Trend Is The Ultimate Confidence Boost

Published on by LeeLeave a comment

Social media has given rise to a wave of cultural makeup trends that have taken over our feeds. From Italian makeup to French-girl makeup, these looks draw inspiration from different cultures and break them down into easy, approachable methods for everyone. While it’s important to recognize that no culture is a monolith, these trends celebrate the beauty of specific cultures in a fun and inclusive way. The latest to grace our feeds? Latina makeup is a bold, confidence-boosting look that focuses on strong brows, dark eyeliner, and a statement lip. Let’s break it down step by step.

Start with the brows, as they frame the face and set the tone for the entire look. Use a precise brow pencil to fill in and define your preferred shape, paying special attention to accentuating the arch and tail. Clean up underneath the brows with a touch of concealer for a sharp, polished finish. Next, apply your foundation and brighten the under-eye area with a creamy concealer. Use a liquid contour in a cool-toned brown to define the cheekbones and nose bridge. Follow up with warm bronzer on the cheeks and temples for a sunkissed glow. Then, lock everything in place with a loose setting powder and add a pop of ruby blush to the apples of your cheeks – blend for a radiant flush.

For the eyes, sweep a matte brown shadow over the lids and into the crease to create depth. Trace the upper lash line with a bold black liquid eyeliner, flicking it slightly at the outer corners for a sultry touch. Amp up the drama by applying fluttery, voluminous falsies. Finally, for the lips, line them with a dark brown lip liner and top it off with nude lipstick.

This Latina makeup look is guaranteed to bring out your inner baddie.

Everyone’s Talking About This Viral Chinese Makeup Trick

Published on by LeeLeave a comment

In case you missed it, TikTok faced a potential U.S. ban on January 19, prompting many Americans to explore another popular Chinese app, Red Note (Xiaohongshu). As American users flocked to the platform, a fascinating cultural exchange took off, including the discovery of a viral Chinese makeup trick that’s now taking over social media. This technique, similar to underpainting, uses concealer and blush to create a flawless, natural-looking base – and it’s a total game-changer.

To try this viral makeup hack, start with well-hydrated skin for a smooth application. Moisturizing is key, as this method involves letting the makeup set for a few seconds, and a hydrated base ensures a fresh, non-cakey finish. Prep your skin with essentials like essence and facial mist to lock in moisture and make your makeup glow. Here’s how to bring this viral Chinese makeup trick to life:

Once your skin is perfectly prepped, grab your concealer and apply a small amount to the back of your hand. Using a clean finger, strategically place it on key areas of your face: the center of your forehead, down the bridge of your nose, around the contours of your nose, and on your chin. Add more concealer to the sides of your forehead, parallel to your brows and eyes for a lifted look. The secret? Don’t blend it just yet – let it sit for a few seconds to set.

Next, apply a liquid blush to the apples of your cheeks, your chin (just below the concealer), the center of your nose bridge, and the tip of your nose. To tie the look together, dab a little blush on your eyelids for a soft, cohesive glow. Finally, use a puff or beauty sponge to blend everything seamlessly. These steps create the flawless, natural base that everyone is raving about.

Kylie Jenner Just Combined Two of This Summer’s Viral Makeup Trends

Published on by LeeLeave a comment

This summer has been all about food-inspired beauty trends. First, there were Iced Coffee Nails, Tomato Girl Summer, and all things glazed donuts. Lately, though, two new foods have been dominating: strawberries and lattes.

Hailey Bieber bought strawberry makeup on TikTok and instantly made it viral. As for the latest coffee-inspired beauty craze, Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and Lori Harvey have all worn their version of latte makeup, the bronzed goddess fusion of cloud skin and glass skin that exists somewhere between matte and dewy and features a whole lot of copper and caramel tones.

Now, Kylie Jenner seems to be in the mood for a strawberry latte (which sounds so delicious), combining strawberry makeup with latte makeup for a bronzed and rosy look that was so good we could taste it. The makeup look was understand-yet-glamorous, with rosy-red cheeks that lifted to her temples, peachy-red matte lips, and the most matte perfection skin with notably little-to-nothing on her eyes.

Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account confirmed that to achieve the look, she used their Classic Matte Palette for her face and eyes, Doin the Most Glow Balm for those rosy cheeks, Rendezvous Matte Lipstick for her matte lip, Kylash Mascara for her lashes.

She paired the makeup look with a partly up, partly down hairdo. Pulling everything back into a slightly messy bun (and leaving a few strands to fall on her face and by her ear), Jenner styled her hair to look slightly wet.

Her outfit complemented the makeup look, which included a tan miniskirt with lace-up detailing and a matching corset. On top, she wore a strawberry-red coned bra, and she finished off the look with a small red purse and a simple gold bracelet.

If you want to get this strawberry and latte fusion makeup, we have you covered. Since this is a combo trend, you can pick your favorite parts of either trend or combine them on your face, but this step-by-step can be your guide.

First, start with your base. For both strawberry and latte makeup, you don’t want to cake on the foundation but let your skin breathe. Jenner did this partly by using her Classic Matte Palette, but you will likely want to use a skin tint like Sai Glowy Super Skin Lightweight Hydrobounceâ„Ē Serum Foundation before adding any powders to your skin.

Then, go in with a cream contour on your hairline, cheekbones, and jawline and blend out before adding concealer wherever you want it, like under the eyes, around your nose, on your chin, and on your forehead. Once blended, set the areas with translucent powder and grab your blush and bronzer while baking.

For that strawberry latte glow, use both blush and bronzer liberally (latte makeup usually requires no blush, and strawberry makeup is light on the bronzer). Apply a bronzer-like setting powder to places you didn’t conceal, then add a pink and red blush together on your cheekbones, blending into the temples.

For some finishing touches, you can get strawberry and add fake freckles with a makeup pencil and a pinky-rosy gloss to your lips for shine. Of course, Jenner used a light reddish-brown pigment for her eyes. You’ll look as good as strawberry latte sounds.
