Now that there’s a chill in the air, creators are warming up their latte looks with shades of rustic orange and cinnamon brown — and it’s catching on, as evidenced by the 9.5 million views on the #pumpkinspicemakeup.

Much like its predecessor, latte makeup, this look is about capitalizing a singular color palette for all features of the face. But rather than a caramel color, the pumpkin spice latte makeup is focused on orangey, spice-toned hues. While orange makeup doesn’t necessarily sound flattering, you’re in for a surprise. This trendy look is a great way to warm up your facial features and evokes the feel-good vibe of the season.

Of course, shades of orange — including deep auburn, copper, and rust — are essential for this look, but like a good recipe, this calls for more than one ingredient, or rather, makeup color. Pumpkin spice latte makeup includes tones like muted brown sugar and hues of roasted spices to give the perfect fall topping to your makeup look. Do not despair and learn to untangle your necklaces with these 5 ways

1. With the help of a needle

You need:

  • A needle
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting

What you’re going to do:

  1. Once you find a flat surface with good lighting, place your collar on it and grab a needle.
  2. Carefully insert the needle into the center of the knot. Slowly move the needle to create space inside the knot. With this you are going to loosen the chains a lot. Be careful when maneuvering so as not to puncture yourself.
  3. Once you have more space, try using the needle to undo the knot completely. Gently pull the loops away from the center. Be very patient.
  4. Repeat this process until you can completely clear the knot.

2. With tweezers

This option is only in case of emergency. If you’re on a trip or all you have on hand is your makeup bag, use your tweezers to untangle your necklaces.

Need:

What you’re going to do:

  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Very carefully, seriously very carefully, grab and separate the individual loops or chains that are causing the knots.
  3. Once the knot is loose, finish untangling with your fingers.

3. Hot water and dish soap

Believe it or not, baby oil is a great solution to untangle your necklaces. Like soap, it helps the chains loosen without the need to apply any external force.

  • Baby oil
  • Swabs
  • Hot water
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting
  • Maybe a needle again

What you’re going to do:

  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Dip a swab in baby oil. Use the swab to apply the baby oil over the knot, this will loosen the chain.
  3. For difficult knots, take your time and gently rub the knot between your fingers to loosen it. Use a needle if needed to help you.
  4. When you’re done, rinse the collar with warm water and mild soap. Gently pat dry.
  5. With talcum powder

This method can be a bit messy, so be prepared. Talc serves to make the loops easier to separate. It can also help prevent your chain from being damaged by friction.

Need:

  • Talc
  • Warm soapy water
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting
  • Again, a needle

What you’re going to do:

  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Sprinkle the talcum powder directly on the chain, anywhere there is a knot.
  3. Gently rub the knot between your fingers to loosen it (use a needle if necessary).
  4. Once you’re done, rinse the collar with warm water and mild soap and pat dry.
