To get started, imagine Ariel as she emerges from beneath the sea’s surface. Prep and prime your skin with radiant-inducing serums and primers to achieve that glossy, wet texture. After applying your face makeup, it’s time to inject some color. To nail the mermaid skin trend, you want to imagine certain parts of your face are “fish scales” that cast a cool-toned shimmer when the light hits just right. Danessa Myricks has a Colorfix Pigment in the shade “mermaid” to achieve that siren-like radiance. Dab a bit of this on the highest point of your cheekbones or wherever else you want to add a pop of color.
From there, it’s all about having fun with eyeshadows. We suggest sticking to shades, such as aquamarine andpurple, for the ultimate mermaid aesthetic. You can even accent your eye makeup with a glitter-based formula to bring out the eyes. Once complete, it’s time to set with everything yet another sparkle-filled product. This dewy setting spray will round out your mermaid-inspired look.

Since the look focuses on appearing wet rather than opting for matte finishes grab TOM FORD Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil which will surely add a more dazzling effect.
To finish off the look add Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil – Fenty Beauty by Rihannaonto your neck that will deliver the illusion of emerging from crystalline waters. Which can be applied with your fingers or a brush or mixed into moisturizer depending on how much shimmer you’re looking for. Then swim away, you beautiful sea creature.

Mermaid Makeup Core 🧜♀️ I had SO much fun doing this look especially because I got to try out some fun makeup products from the Tiktok Shop! Still obsessing over the Really Good Foundation by @KimChi Chic Beauty in shade 115M & I got to try the Double Diamonds Highlight that has been all over my feed and it was definitely giving DIAMONDS! 💎 I LOVE the products I’ve bought from Kim Chic so far, except the bronzer not my favorite. But, I also got to try some technichrome flakes by @Gavissi Beauty ® and the one thing I keep forgetting is to let the product dry before I open my eyes LOL but they are so pretty and I used shade Eye Candy for this look! 🤩 (I think the Double Diamond highlight is sold out right now but their bestie Pearl Gone Wild is still in the Tiktok Shop and its just as good considering it’s one of the shades in the Double Diamond Highlight!) #mermaidmakeup#mermaidcore#mermaid#multichromeflakes#eyeshadowtutorial#makeuptutorial#fypシ
Latte makeup is sweeping the internet thanks to the beauty guru Rachel Rigler who coined the term, but Rachel Rigler got the idea from Australian makeup artist Tanielle Jai who is the originator of the Makeup.

I’ve always loved rich, chocolate-brown tones when it comes to makeup. But as a brown skin woman, some brown tones just don’t pop on our skin—you have to find the right ones for you. Latte makeup is exactly what it sounds like. Similar to an actual latte, this makeup look focuses on brown and nude tones. It also aims to provide a natural warm glow for an overall bronzed goddess effect.
It creates a soft, dimensional bronze, and brown sun-kissed look using rich (dare I say, creamy) shades. It’s a simple look, but adds so much warmth to the skin, giving you a sunny glow year-round. Sure, it works great for late summer, but I’ll be wearing this look well into fall, too. For a few tips on how to create the look for Black and Brown skin tones, I tapped celebrity makeup artist and founder of Color May Vary, Renée Loiz. She shared a few tips and her favorite products to try for this below.

1. Reach for warm-toned shades.
Loiz recommends sticking to warmer shades for darker skin tones if you want to try latte makeup. “I like to reach for warmer-tonedshades of brown as cooler tones tend to look a bit ashy ondeeper skin,” she says.Warm tones like bronze, copper, dark gold, red-brown, and cinnamon. These shades compliment deeper skintones. But like so many beauty trends, latte makeup is customizable for your features and skin tone.
This bronzer is a recommendation of Loiz’s and one of my own favorites. I love that it’s so blendable and melts so nicely into the skin. It does over more of a subtle finish, but it’s great for building that warm undertone for latte makeup. Using another one of Mary Phillips makeup tricks, you can also apply bronzer first before your foundation or skin tint here to blend it even more seamlessly.
Loiz loves this skin tint from Ami Colé for darker skin tones. It’s super lightweight, buildable, and gives your skin a natural dewy glow. Also, it works beautifully for a brown-toned look. You may need to apply a more pigmented bronzer like the one below to mix with this tint if you want an extra rich latte look.
I was instantly amazed by how pigmented this Charlotte Tilbury bronzer was when I first tried it. It’s the one I usually reach for when I have an event to go to, but it works great for latte makeup since it shows up so well on darker skin tones.

2. Try a radiance-enhancer.
Another way to make your latte look pop is by using a radiance enhancer. I know more of a glittery finish isn’t everyone’s vibe, so feel free to skip this step if you want, but it does add a little something extra to the skin that will make your brown shades stand out a bit more.
“I like to mix the Saie Glowy Super Gel and Chanel Bronzing Cream and sweep across the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and across the forehead (these are all the high points of the face and where the sun naturally hits).” — Loiz
Kosas offers this skin-enhancer that instantly activates a lit-from-within glow. I do have to warn, this one is really glowy, especially out in the sun, so you only need a light touch with it. It’s also versatile and can be mixed with foundation or as a targeted highlighter.
As Bieber did in her TikTok video, you can add a flush of color to the cheeks on top of your bronzer that pairs well with your other latte-esque shades. As Loiz said above, those with darker skin tones might want to try a warmer peach blush shade or terracotta color.
For a flush of color add Pat Mcgrath’s Colour Balm in Sunkissed Seduction to apples of cheeks and blend into bronzer and highlighter. You want these three products to melt together for a perfectly bronzed latte look.
This cream blush from Refy is the perfect warm, terracotta shade for darker skin tones. I love blending it with the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer because the two together add the perfect amount of natural warmth to the skin.

4. Use a warm-toned or nude eye shadow palette.
There are so many different ways you can add depth to the eyes here. You could always add a bit of the luminizer you used earlier to keep the look cohesive, but you can also opt for rich coffee shades in an eye shadow palette or pick a few transition shades out of a neutral palette.
The Juvia’s Place Coffee Shop eyeshadow palette is a spin off of their Chocolates palette and literally has all the best warm-toned nude and brown eyeshadows that look stunning on Brown-skinned girls. Line the eyes in the waterline with a black kohl pencil and add a couple coats of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.” — Loiz
This is another great offering from Juvia’s Place that I’ve loved and used since college. It’s budget-friendly and contains the perfect nude and warm-toned hues for darker skin tones. Both the shimmer shades and matte shades would work beautifully for a latte look here.

5. Finish with a latte-inspired lip.
In Bieber’s TikTok video, she finished with a latte-toned lip, but it looked like she used bronzer on the lips with a liner and topped with a gloss. This would look great on any skin tone, but Loiz also has a few favorite lip combos for a finished latte look.
Below you’ll find a few more quick latte makeup tutorials for different skin tones:
This latte makeup look really proves how well a brown glossy lip ties everything together!
Choosing eyeshadow, bronzer, and a lip color that have similar undertones (like cooler shades with a blue undertone vs. warmer shades with a yellow undertone) will tie your look together even more.
If you want to lean into the fall latte makeup trend without being too heavy-handed, you can still achieve that smokey eye without piling on too many other products. This tutorial (featuring a lighter base and nude lip) is the proof!

Another day, another TikTok trend emerges. This time, the main focus is on the lips. Users of the app are obsessed with cherry cola lips, with the hashtag already amassing well over 12.8M views. As you might deduct, cherry cola lips are created by blending shades of brown and red to create a juicy, coke-inspired pucker. For those who have been intimidated by sporting a darker lip color, this trend is a great way to dip your toes into bolder hues. And as a certified Lana Del Rey girlie myself: The overall vibe is very much giving big Born To Die energy.
In short? The look — which has been around for decades — is no doubt reminiscent of red-tinted, brown-hued cola drinks. In line with its memorable name, the buzzy lip combo uses a deep brown lip liner on the outer edges of one’s pout, before going in with red lipsticks and glosses fora blended ’90s-era effect. To dive into this fizzy, cherry cola lip trend, scroll ahead to discover how you can recreate this look.
Before applying any product, we recommend you start with a moisturizinglip balm to prep for all of the products to follow. Start by applying a layer of Benefit’s Benetint to infuse your natural lip color with a rosy tint. Now, it’s time to add the cola in the cherry cola lip trend by utilizing a brown lip liner. MAKEUP BY MARIO Ultra Suede® Sculpting Lip Pencil in the shade Chris – cinnamon brown is the ideal brown shade, reminiscent of the soft drink, but any warm, saturated color will do. For a fuller appearance, slightly overline your lips, focusing on the cupid’s bow. If you want to ensure a seamless transition between brown and red, blend it with alip brush – but note that this step is optional.

Finally, top off your lips with Kylie Cosmetics tinted butter balm in the shade moving on. This has a beautiful deep red hue that will round out the look. Like a two-in-one lipstick and soft gloss, the most impressive thing about this formula is just how full-coverage and pigmented they are. The balms are very, very moisturizing, and creamy and apply so smoothly without any stickiness.
Now if the goal is to balance out the brown and red tones, use Hourglass Phantom Glossy Lip Balm in the shade Lure. This has a beautiful deep purple hue that will round out the look. It kind of feels like glossy lipstick even though it’s technically a glossy balm. Either way, the color payoff is perfect—it’s not as intense as lipstick but has more of an impact than a tinted balm. It’s shockingly smooth and creamy and glides onto the lips, leaving such a nice high-shine finish. It feels incredibly luxe—it comes in gold packaging, max hydration, and buildable color and it has an immediate cooling sensation, which feels amazing.

If you’re not so much a red lipstick lover, you can tone down the vibe with a more terracotta or pinkish red instead of a more traditional hue either way the viral cherry cola lip trend is certainly one for the books. We’re positive this vampy lip trend is going to be recreated now and into the next season to accent autumnal ensembles.
For adventurous beauty enthusiasts, bold graphic eyeliner and latte-inspired bronzer steal the spotlight, but most of us prefer a more evergreen approach with minimal makeup for daywear. Embracing your natural beauty is timeless, but achieving the flawless no-makeup look requires the right products and techniques – let us guide you through it all.
To achieve a filter-like finish in real life, it all comes down to the right choice of products. From the get-go, we recommend Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint which provides an effortless, natural finish. Note that you don’t have to apply this all over your face. You can choose to spot treat where necessary. For extra coverage under the eyes, Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Under Eye Brightener is an immaculate option for an organic finish. Step three of our go-to minimal makeup routine requires a brow gel to gently fluff up your brows. To wrap up the eyes, simply sweep on your favorite mascara for wispy lashes.
If you’re in a crunch for time, you can certainly stop here, but these next few products will give you that long-lasting glow. Add some flush to your cheeks with a sheer cream-based blush. You can further accent this with a touch ofhighlighter. As the penultimate step to this natural look, lock in your base with a featherlight powder. Laura Mercier’s setting powder is a cult favorite for a reason but ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder has been the go-to for weeks now and hasn’t disappointed us. Lastly, seal the deal with a tinted oil or lip balm to enhance your lips.
This quick and easy minimal makeup routine is a great way to boost your confidence and celebrate your natural beauty.
