Beauty Editors Hoard These 12 Tatcha Productsβ€”And They’re on Sale

I’ve probably said this at least 1,000 times by now, but Tatcha products are so unbelievably good. I have extremely sensitive, dry, and acne-prone skin that can teeter on reactive, but Tatcha’s products are so friendly to the skin type that I’ve never had an issue with any of them. When you have skin that sensitive, let’s just say you tend to hold on tightly to the products that work for you (and never let go). I’m also not the only one who loves it, the entire BeautyLeeBar beauty community has at least one non-negotiable item from the brand, there’s just one issueβ€”it’s expensive (*cries*).

Although that mayΒ normallyΒ be the case, today we’re in luck.Β Tatcha is currently offering 20% off sitewide for its annual Friends and Family Sale. Use the code FRIEND23 at checkout and receive a nice discount on all your Tatcha favorites through June 25. Keep on scrolling for all the products beauty editors are hoarding and stocking up on.

The Rice Wash Soft Cream Cleanser

Tatcha The Rice Wash Soft Cream Cleanser

The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment

Tatcha The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment

$89Β $71

This serum is a non-negotiable item in Lee’s arsenal. It’s a three-in-one lactic acid serum that gently smooths skin’s texture and deeply hydrates with hyaluronic acid and squalane.

Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

$49Β $39

Lee also loves this hydrating mist from the brand that (as the name would suggest) leaves you with the most luminous glow. It delivers a serious hydration boost and is perfect to use under or over makeup.

The Silk Serum

Tatcha The Silk Serum

$98Β $78

A few BeautyLeeBar writers (myself included) loved this serum so much, we gave it aΒ glowing review. It’s a great retinol alternative for those with sensitive skin because it utilizes gentle resurfacing ingredients like upcycled cranberry extract and sea fennel to reduce the appearance of fine lines and speed up cellular turnover.Β

Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment

Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment

Violet-C Brightening Serum

Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum

$89Β $71

This is definitely one of my favoriteΒ vitamin C serumsΒ on the market. It contains two forms of vitamin C and 10% AHAs to give your skin a serious glow and power up. It might be a tad too much for those with dry or extremely sensitive skin, but if you have oily or acne-prone skin, it can definitely be a winner.

The Camellia Cleansing Oil

Tatcha The Camellia Cleansing Oil

$50Β $40

As far as makeup removers go, this formula and Fig. 1’sΒ Micellar Oil CleanserΒ ($22) are my go tos. The Camellia Cleansing Oil is incredibly silky, hydrating, and removes even the most stubborn mascara in a flash.

The Deep Cleanse Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser

For those who are acne-prone, this gentle exfoliating cleanser is the ticket. It’s packed with nourishing ingredients like luffa fruit, wild rose, and amino acids which lift away dirt and minimize oil without over drying your skin.

The Water Cream Oil-Free Moisturizer

Tatcha The Water Cream Oil-Free Moisturizer

Acne-prone folks will also want to pair the brand’s Water Cream with the Deep Cleanse Cleanser since it’s oil-free and helps keep shine to a minimum.

Hinoki Hydrating Body Oil

Tatcha Hinoki Hydrating Body Oil

$58Β $46

This body oil from Tatcha is a favorite of BeautyLeeBar beauty editor Katherine. It’s like a spa day bottled with the light scent of hinoki and an organic essential oil blend.

Ilia’s New Brow Products Are Go-Tos for Celebs Like Emily Blunt and Miranda Kerr

In the realm of celebrity beauty, I’m always intrigued by what stars put (or don’t put) on their brows. Having good brows is practically a requirement for being famous. While celebrities have access to the highest-caliber experts to pluck, thread, and microblade their brows, the products they use to enhance them are also of the utmost importance.

The latest brow products sweeping Hollywood? Ilia’s new launches. Despite only just launching, the In Full Micro-Tip Brow Pencil and In Frame Brow Gel are already making waves. So many celebrities, from Kate Hudson and Pamela Anderson to Gwyneth Paltrow and Kourtney Kardashian, are obsessed with the brand for its skincare-first ethos and clean yet effective formulas. ILIA’s new brow products are no different β€” made with nourishing ingredients such as hydrolyzed quinoa and provitamin B5 to maintain hair health.

In true Ilia fashion, these brow products help you get the vibe of your brows. The In Full Micro-Brow Pencil has a microtip to help you create the most realistic-looking hair-like strokes. It comes in eight shades and glides on easily but doesn’t smudge, so you get the best of both worlds. The In Frame Brow Gel is a flake-free formula that conditions brows while it adds flexible hold. There’s no doubt that these brow products will keep gaining momentum.

It’s safe to say that finding your go-to, daily mascara is just as important as selecting your best non-comedogenic foundation or ride-or-die sunscreen for your face. It’s a very personal journey and one none of us beauty enthusiasts take lightlyβ€”especially when there’s so much choice.

Do you opt for waterproof, brown, lengthening, or super volumizing? And how can you tell which of the best mascaras will deliver lusciously long lashes, without that peskyΒ mascara flakingΒ all over your cheeks before you drop your hard-earned cash on them? All very important questions.

This is why I’ve done the leg work for you when it comes to the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes mascara, wearing it on the daily, seven days a week. And much like with theΒ Rare Beauty products, I have some thoughts…

MY MAKEUP PREFERENCES

I keep my makeup pretty natural. For my base, I wear a glow filter (usually Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight), followed by Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation, eyebrow gel, blush, and highlighter.

Eye-wise, I keep it pretty minimal, just opting for mascara on a normal dayβ€”sometimes I pair it with an all-over eyeshadow, but I’m not an eyeliner gal, despite there being some greatΒ eyeliners for beginnersΒ out there. So, I rely on my mascara to make me look awake andΒ somewhatΒ put together, while still keeping it naturalβ€”so preferably, no clumps in sight

IS THE RARE BEAUTY MASCARA WATERPROOF?

Now, onto the key info, is the Rare Mascara waterproof?

It’s described as having a ‘water-resistant formula,’ so theoretically it should be able to withstand getting caught in a surprise rain shower or a gentle cry sesh. Technically though, it’s not fully waterproofβ€”but I prefer that as it’s easier to remove with a makeup remover or micellar water, without needing to be too vigorous.

HOW TO APPLY THE RARE BEAUTY MASCARA

To apply this mascara, I’d recommend curling your lashes first with your preferred eyelash curler, before then gently wiggling the mascara wand from side to side as you stroke up along your lashes, from root to tip. This side-to-side motion will feather out your lashes and will help to get an even coating on your lashes and avoid clumps.

WHAT’S IN THE RARE BEAUTY MASCARA?

This mascara is formulated with castor oil, which helps to condition and nourish your lashesβ€”plus it’s vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, ophthalmologist-tested, dermatologist-tested, and suitable for anyone with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers.

BEAUTYLEEBAR VERDICT ON THE RARE BEAUTY MASCARA

So, is this Rare Beauty mascara good? My answer is yes. It does everything it promises to doβ€”it’s buildable, comfortable, volumizing, and lasts all day without smudging.

I’ve worn it every day, seven days a week, for over a month, and haven’t experienced any transferring or flaking. I’m also a big fan of its chunky tube, with its soft, matte pink finish. It feels expensive and looks soo cute in my makeup bag.

It’s also easy to apply, even with a slightly large wand, which I wouldn’t necessarily have gone for, but didn’t find it in any way messy or hard to handle. In fact, with every use, it leaves my lashes looking lengthened, voluminous, and curled upβ€”and it lasts all day long, so everything you can ask of a mascara. The formula itself feels great on the lashes as well, not super stiff or brittle.

This Rare Beauty mascara fends off moisture well (from tears and even sweat from a gym sesh) but comes off like a dream with a bit of micellar water.

My main gripe with this product though is that it’s only available in blackβ€”if this came in a soft brown shade, it would be a real game-changer. There’s also the question of the price…

This mascara will set you back $20 which is pretty pricey for a mascara. That being saidβ€”like with all of Rare’s line-upβ€”the amount of product you get for the money is generous since the tube is pretty chunky.

Advertisements

So, my final verdict: it’s great and if you’ve been hunting far and wide for a mascara that is both gentle on your eyes but still delivers length and volume, this could be one to try. I will say this though, other mascaras out there are comparable and more inexpensive on the market, but if you’re a Selena stan looking to make another (or your first) Rare Beauty purchase, I’d recommend it for the cute tube alone!
