5 Easy Ways to Untangle Your Necklaces

Advertisements
  • A needle
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting
  1. Once you find a flat surface with good lighting, place your collar on it and grab a needle.
  2. Carefully insert the needle into the center of the knot. Slowly move the needle to create space inside the knot. With this you are going to loosen the chains a lot. Be careful when maneuvering so as not to puncture yourself.
  3. Once you have more space, try using the needle to undo the knot completely. Gently pull the loops away from the center. Be very patient.
  4. Repeat this process until you can completely clear the knot.
  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Very carefully, seriously very carefully, grab and separate the individual loops or chains that are causing the knots.
  3. Once the knot is loose, finish untangling with your fingers.
  • Hot water
  • Dish soap
  • A flat surface
  • Probably a needle
  • Good lighting
  1. Soak your necklace for a few minutes in warm water and dish soap to help loosen the knot.
  2. If the chain is very tangled, gently rub the knot between your fingers.
  3. Once the knot is loose enough, you should be able to undo it with your fingers. If you can’t, try using a needle (repeat the steps we’ve already given).
  4. Dry gently with little touches.
  • Baby oil
  • Swabs
  • Hot water
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting
  • Maybe a needle again
  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Dip a swab in baby oil. Use the swab to apply the baby oil over the knot, this will loosen the chain.
  3. For difficult knots, take your time and gently rub the knot between your fingers to loosen it. Use a needle if needed to help you.
  4. When you’re done, rinse the collar with warm water and mild soap. Gently pat dry.
  5. With talcum powder
  • Talc
  • Warm soapy water
  • A flat surface
  • Good lighting
  • Again, a needle
  1. Place the tangled collar on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Sprinkle the talcum powder directly on the chain, anywhere there is a knot.
  3. Gently rub the knot between your fingers to loosen it (use a needle if necessary).
  4. Once you’re done, rinse the collar with warm water and mild soap and pat dry.

A Saturday morning at the farmers market:

striped midi dress / striped midi dress (plus size) / denim jacket / denim jacket (plus size) / leather backpack / gold hoops / round sunnies / white sneakers

A morning at the farmer’s market has never looked better. Couple a midi tank dress with a cropped denim jacket and sneakers for what might be the most put-together Saturday of all time. If we had to pick one outfit to wear on repeat until the end of time, this would be it.

A long-awaited girls’ night out:

scoop neck midi dress / scoop neck midi dress (plus size) / baguette bag / stiletto heels / herringbone necklace / hoop earrings

Rooftop drinks, a night out at the bar, or a fancy dinner with our besties is our idea of a good time, and we couldn’t do it without the help of the all-classic little black dress. Pair with gold jewelry, stiletto heels, and your favorite shoulder bag for a look you’ll return to again and again.

A weekday in the office:

After over a year of working from home, our tolerance for uncomfortable workwear is at an all-time low. When we transition back to the office, we’ll be reaching for our comfiest midi tank dress, pairing it with an oversized plaid blazer, and slipping on some leather mules that are just as comfortable as our WFH slippers.

An outdoor concert:

ribbed midi dress / ribbed midi dress (plus size) / leather backpack / aviator sunnies / white sneakers / layered necklace

We love an outdoor concert moment, and nothing pairs better with dancing the night away and singing at the top of your lungs quite as well as a midi tank dress, comfy sneakers, and aviator sunnies. It’s the perfect outfit formula for a night of drinks, bad dance moves, and your favorite band.

A downtown date night:

knit midi dress / midi dress (plus size) / leather moto jacket / leather moto jacket (plus size) / gold bracelets / shoulder bag / heeled sandals

Dressing up a midi dress by pairing it with a leather jacket and gold jewelry is the ultimate way to elevate your look for a fancy night out with your partner. She’s chic, she’s cool, and she’s a look we turn to time after time.

A mid-Sunday picnic in the park:

ribbed knit midi dress / midi dress (plus size) / claw clip / cat-eye sunnies / straw tote / slide sandals

For a mid-Sunday picnic in the park, keep things simple. Reach for your comfiest “might-actually-be-a-nightgown” midi dress and throw your hair up in a chic claw clip. Also grab a large straw tote to house your water bottle, your latest page-turning novel, and cat-eye sunnies that pair well with a day in the sun and obligatory people-watching.
